Fragments of Glasgow

On March 15th 2023 we held an event to discuss the fabulous 'Fragments of Glasgow' book with the wonderful author and Glasgow born architect Rosalie Menon. The event was hosted by RIAS President Chris Stewart.

The book appeals to both those who have a connection with the city and to those who have an interest in finding out more about its beautiful stone buildings and the social history of Glasgow they represent. 

Through a snapshot of stunning colour photographs, accompanied by simple historical descriptions,we discussed some of the impressive conservation, creativity, and investment undertaken to re-purpose

these architectural treasures which developed during the Victorian era when the city was experiencing rapid urban growth.
