What is the purpose of architecture?
The Force of the Simple presents eleven projects that Nordic – Office of Architecture has worked on over the past thirty years. Through text and images, readers are introduced to the unique needs of each project and see how the architects addressed them.
Nordic is headquartered in Oslo and, with more than 250 architects, is Norway's largest architectural practice under one roof. The firm has been responsible for projects including the New Government Quarter in Oslo, St. Olav's Hospital in Trondheim, Oslo Airport Gardermoen, Carpe Diem Dementia Village in Bærum, and Istanbul International Airport.
